One of the most important reasons for a woman to have a health plan is higher life expectancy. The life expectancy of women in India is 69 years *. Higher life expectancy means higher medical costs in retirement years. So it is important to have a health plan which covers all major illnesses of women.

If she is already covered in the family's health plan then which illnesses are not covered in the family's plan, how much amount does she require to cover etc?

Every year a specific amount called 'Premium' is required to pay for Health Insurance. To minimize the burden to pay a premium annually, it is good to keep aside a specific amount monthly for paying health plan premiums every year. So that it becomes easier to manage Premiums.
